Block Happy is in mass production!

Hi Happy Backers,
Great news! We received the refined production copy and we love it!
We've pressed the button on the mass production of Block Happy - Yippee! Thank you all for your continued patience and messages of positivity and support. The linen finish on the cards is looking lovely, and the hex tray fits the emotions really well. Here's a few photos of the PP copy. The real thing will look even better, brighter and happier, with the litho printing and pantone spot colour on the laminated box. We will update you all again in May as to exactly where we are, but fingers crossed, the games will be making their way to various fulfilment centres.
Thanks to all those that have paid for shipping. There are still some backers that need to pay, so if you haven't done this, we'd appreciate it if you'd pay now to make it easier for fulfilment, or we won't be able to ship the game to you.
Hope everyone is staying safe, and here's to happier times, playing games face to face with friends and family.

Hi Backers,
A few of you having been asking for another update since our last one in March.
Please rest assured that we are trying really hard to progress with the Block Happy manufacturing as quickly as possible, and I'm sure everyone in the world is aware of the way the virus pandemic is affecting every country personally and professionally. It's extremely frustrating for us, as we know there are exciting times ahead for the game, and we can't wait to get a copy to everyone, and share the joy and laughter it brings. Please also know that when we have a substantial update of progress to share with you, we will. We really appreciate your patience, support and positivity. The good news is that we are now imminently waiting for our latest production copy to arrive from China. As soon as we receive it, we'll send photos and a new update soon.
We are in very weird times at the moment, so stay safe and keep smiling!

Latest production update

Dear Backers,
Further to our last update at the end of January, we just wanted to let you know the latest on our game production. We're sure that everyone is aware of the global Corona virus epidemic that has now affected China since January. This has meant that manufacturing factories, including our fantastic game manufacturer had to close for 6 weeks in addition to Chinese New Year, halting our game production completely.
Obviously, although we're very frustrated by this, the good news is that this week, the factory is starting to operate again and should be fully staffed by the end of March. We know that we're not alone, as this has affected businesses worldwide. We apologise for the delay, but as we're sure you can understand, it's totally out of our control.
Being optimistic, we should have more to show you by the end of March. Please rest assured that we are doing all we can to make this a great quality game. Thanks for your patience and positive words. Now we're off to wash our hands again.

Update on production timeline

Hi everyone,
As you can tell by our un-emotional title, this is a serious update. Originally on our production timeline we estimated to begin fulfilling/shipping to backers in March-April. However, due to a number of unforeseen issues, from Chinese new year halting factory production samples for longer than expected by 3-4 weeks, and needing to refine 75 unique artworks, as we weren't happy with how they were printing, we’re afraid that we’ll have to push back our fulfilment date to May-June 2020.
We noticed a few things we weren’t happy with, which meant we had a choice: we could put out a game that we weren’t completely satisfied with, or we could push back the deadline. If we can move mass production any quicker of course we will. But a rush job is a bad job, and we want it to look fantastic.
We’re really proud of the game we’ve made, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped it get there, especially all of our backers. That’s why we’ve decided to delay the game a little in order to give you the best game that we can. We'll update you again in a month's time with our progress.
Although we know it was the right decision, we are really sorry, and it's frustrating for us too. We’ll be keeping the ‘Change Address’ forms open, just in case anyone needs to update their delivery details. Sorry again, but with feel it will be worth it in the end, with happiness all round.
